Sorry! We've had a busy few weeks and I promise to update everyone soon, but until then I just had to share a few things...
Mister W is our little guy who will eat anything. He is bigger and much hungrier than his sister was at his age, but he's a lot less picky too. We've been canning a lot these past few weeks and this week was tomato week. We had a container of veggies on the floor that we'd purchased at the farmer's market to make salsa with: onions, peppers, shallots, etc. Yesterday and today he's walked into the living room biting into an onion. I've heard the story countless times about my sister digging up onions from my parents' garden and eating them raw. I just think it's too funny! He did take a bite out of a yellow chili pepper too, but that was quickly discarded. :o)
Miss L has definitely been thinking about things lately. She asks tougher questions than she used to and it's just obvious she's growing up too. Today I was fixing her hair for the day and she mentioned how she was growing up and I said, oh yes, almost too fast. She replied, "You don't want me to grow anymore?" I told her that it's hard for mommies. We want our kids to grow and learn because it is what life is all about, but that it happens so fast and sometimes mommies just want to slow down a bit because soon she'll be all grown up and live on her own. She told me, "No I won't." I said, "Are you going to live with me forever? That would be okay." She replied, "Hmmm, no, but I'm going to live with W and you can visit." I asked her what if she got married and she seemed to have that all worked out. Looks like it'll be easy to visit both kids at once. :o)
Later we were in the car and passed a truck. Both kids remarked on it and I said that is a beer truck. L said, "A whole truck for beer?" I said, "Yup, it's making a delivery. Some people like beer. I don't really, but some people do just like some people don't like soda, but I do." She replied, "Oh yes and some people like frogs and some don't. Also some people like monsters but some don't." Looks like she's got it figured out. :o)
