It's been a busy week!
On Wednesday we moved in officially and we've spent nearly everyday since unpacking. There are still so many boxes around, but our living room and kitchen have been unpacked and put away and are safe for sweet baby L to roam around in. She's enjoying her new house! The hard floors in the living room are proving rough though, last night she tripped while crawling and whacked her chin causing a bloody lip and today she fell backwards and bonked her head on the floor. We have alphabet foamies in part of the room, but the bumps and falls don't happen over there (of course!).
Brad and I took my camera back to the store this week. It was the second one (exact same) that we'd gotten and both had broken battery doors. We decided to get a nice new camera, but it won't be in until the 11th, so I pulled out my old canon. I pulled the photos off today and I found some that I didn't even know were on there.
That photo is from November 11th. She hardly looks like the same person! I can't even believe that she was that tiny. It's ridiculous but she still wears those jeans. They fit her like capris and I think that they are really cute. :-)
As I said before, our week has been spent unpacking and doing boring things around the house. L has been keeping busy though. She's pretty good at unpacking.
Sweet baby L is always interested in the camera and when she sees it come out, she heads straight for you to check it out a bit better.
But that gets boring and then she goes back to her window.
We did take a bit of time out to celebrate the fourth. Sweet baby L wore her flag onesie and I made chicken wings for dinner. We found out that sweet baby L LOVES chicken wings, although she examines them before she puts them in her mouth. I find that to be funny since most things she just puts in her mouth before she even sees what it is, but I guess we have to start somewhere.
I used the fourth as my first attempt to get L's hair into pigtails, but it's just not long enough yet. We'll try again in a couple months.
I love that last photo. When you tilt your head at her she'll do it back to you. It is really really cute.
Today we just played around the house (yes, she is in her pajamas in these photos, and actually, she's now sleeping in the same pajamas...). I was watching her sitting in the middle of her toys playing nicely with some keys and I thought it was super cute, so I ran to the kitchen to grab my camera. She noticed, of course, that I got up and then decided to start to follow me, so this is the photos I got.
and this is seconds later.
After a bit she forgot about the camera and decided to torture Kate (poor kate). She was all rolled up and didn't even see it coming, although I doubt that she is ever in the same room with L that she doesn't know exactly where she is.
Sweet baby L played with her bunny this evening and I thought it might be the only chance to get some good photos, so here they are.
(she's watching her daddy leave in that photo, which I think just makes it precious)
I sat her on the couch just to try to take a couple of photos.
(if you look closely you can see her new butterfly earrings)
and that may be as good as our ten month bunny photos get. We'll try again tomorrow.
We'll see you next week!
