Here we go! Summer 2013
This little guy ate a sandwich with a fork. This photo isn't really of anything except that my sweet little man is really cute. Isn't he?
This guy finished his year in the mother's morning out program at preschool. He also learned to use the potty (YAYYAYYAYYAY!!!!).
We had a picnic at his school.
This girl finished her year of homeschooling. It was a fun, great experiment and I don't regret it for a minute. We decided to go with public school for 2013-2014 because I was panicking just THINKING of trying to do school with a newborn. It turned out to be a great choice for us but there'll be more about that later.

We had some caterpillars visit our celeriac. Pretty neat! We never found any cocoons but we didn't want to bother them much either hoping they would stick around.
Miss L loved those caterpillars.
This guy enjoyed talking to his dad on the phone on the way home. He would beg me for the phone whenever it rang. :o)

We kept working in the garden plot. Those are tomatoes and peppers there (and my rear end apparently...). Miss L took this photo.
We picked cherries, a first for us. We will never be the same again. This family LOVES cherries.

We had a visit with this guy. He's so much fun!
We took these crazy people to a children's museum.
...and on a walk.
Eventually we had to say goodbye to that fun guy and his totally awesome mom. This lady and I went to college together and I miss her everyday. Maybe I'll go visit her soon. She's really the best.

We went swimming at a friend's pool and this happened as soon as we left. Yay! and isn't he the sweetest thing?
We celebrated the fourth of July at a local park with a picnic.
Sweet little man loves watermelon. Can you tell?
Miss L went to two nights of sleep away camp. Seriously. How is she this old?
We got blackberries from the farmer's market and made an angel food cake to go with them. They were so good that we had to take photos.
We went to parks.
We went blackberry picking with these awesome people.
Then we went peach picking and took a moment to play on the very cool playground there.
Mmmm... peaches...
We went to the natural history museum.
We made playdough.
We ate dessert.
We wore sunglasses.
A certain little girl turned six. How did that happen? She's the world's most amazing little girl. I can't imagine my life without her. Sometimes it feels like it's been forever and sometimes it feels like the last six years went by in a flash. Either way I'm a very lucky mama.
Daddy got out his legos from his childhood and we played and played and played with them.
Miss L had a birthday party at a park.
We went to a restaurant and they gave us dough. We made moustaches.
We kept working in the garden plot, though not as often as we should have because we lost a lot of fruit to drought and critters. Here's a baby melon.

We found a new fun restaurant.
We spent even more time at the garden plot. This is the children's garden nearby. The kids table is under a trellis which is covered in gourds. I love August evenings. They are often so lovely.
We got new shoes for school.
We cuddled.
We did hair for school!
