Family Photo Shoot

I was determined not to let Christmas get out of hand this year.  I wanted to focus on Christ's birth as our cornerstone of the Christmas season and I'm pretty sure that Christ wasn't super concerned about my Christmas Card photo. So long before Christmas came we sort of decided spur of the moment to head out to a park we'd never visited to take some pictures. :o)

It was a fabulous place to take photos. We brought our tripod and our remote and found some great places to shoot. The trouble was that everyone was tired. The kids were a bit hungry and Brad and I had different ideas about what we wanted to do. Basically, we were a mess. In the month or so following the shoot I was disappointed at the pictures but decided to use them anyway. Looking back now the pictures were more than fine. The point was to let go of perfection, right? Amazing how those lessons come just when we need them.
