I know I said that I'd update on L on Friday afternoon, but I have a good excuse this time! Some of my numbers were elevated more than the doctor would like and I had to make a trip to the doctor's office on Friday afternoon. Everything is fine, but I was just simply exhausted after six hours at the doctor's. It was nice to see the twins, as it always is. We actually got to see baby W yawn, which was amazing and adorable.
Now... onto the update!
L is an amazing girl. I cannot believe how she's growing all the time. She's so funny and smart. I realize that I'm biased, but I just can't believe all the things she can do sometimes. I know that you want some examples so here I go!
- Whenever L is singing, she does not want anyone to sing with her. She will say, NO MUSIC, and then continue to sing on her own.
- When asked who is in my tummy we get one of two answers. Some days it's elmo and today it was Jack (from Jack's big music show)
- If you yawn, or make a noise, or in any way act out of the ordinary she will get a very concerned look on her face and say, "okay?" (as in "are you okay?") It's so very sweet.
I am going to try and write these down in the weeks to come. She's getting to that "kids say the darndest things" age and I want to remember this stuff!
It's been awhile since I updated so I have tons of photos to share, naturally.
We'll start with Halloween. L was a cheerleader this year and was too cute, if I do say so myself. Even cheerleaders need socks though, and L LOVES putting on her own socks.

The good thing about this particular costume is that it was similar enough to regular clothes to be reasonable to wear all day long. This let us get her dressed up early and then Daddy took her out to take some photos on the front porch.
She stopped to check out the pumpkins.

She had to take the bubble mower down the street.

...and of course then had to bring it back, even though she tends to get distracted like two year olds do.

...and then back to the pumpkins.

...and then settling down to get her photo taken, perhaps.

I'm just imagining trying to get the three of them to sit for photos. HA!
That evening, L's friend E stopped by to go trick or treating with her. It was her first year actually going trick or treating for both of them and they just went to the few houses around our house and collected just a small amount of candy. YUM!

I'm pretty sure that this is the first actual factual candy that L has really had. She took that first bite and she was SOLD. Everytime she saw her candy bucket from then on she would ask for "more candy!"

...and after a hard night out on the town followed by a sugar rush, sometimes a girl just needs to sit and check her facebook.

I'm not sure when these photos were taken, except that it was after Halloween. We've got a big tree in our front yard, as do our neighbors and the leaves tend to gather early and often in the fall. This was the first day that Brad went out to rake leaves, though he'll be doing it several more times for certain.
It was just a lazy Saturday and L wanted to go outside and help and how can you resist that face?

After doing her part she took a moment to rearrange the small pumpkins on the porch. It was so cute that they are still right where she left them. She said, "Pumpkin. More pumpkin. More pumpkin!"

These photos are from later that same day. They aren't that interesting, except that these boots are an OBSESSION at our house now. We have to hide them to keep them from being the shoes she wants to wear all the time, in the house and out.

See you next week! Happy Thanksgiving!
