(October 12, 2012) I purchased a formal science curriculum, which I still really like, but with so many other things taking up our time we put it to the side to use later and have done a few more informal science lessons. Since it's fall and the leaves and trees are beautiful, we are working on studying what happens during the fall season. This is one of our fall projects!
You start with a brown arm and hand print for the trunk and branches and then paint the leaves on with your fingers. It's a great sensory play opportunity too.
Of course, about halfway through, mister W abandoned his picture and started painting himself.
Miss L thought this was a pretty great idea too.
We're all for messy around here, I guess! Happy Fall!
